The short answer? Anytime after your 20-week scan is a great time to get in touch.
It might feel early, but trust me, that second trimester flies by, and it gives us plenty of time to chat about what you'd love from your session, plan colours and setups, and most importantly — pencil you in around your due date.
Certain times of the year, like late summer and the run-up to Christmas, get really busy in my studio. I only take on a limited number of sessions each month to make sure every family gets the time and attention they deserve.
So when those months fill up, it means I often have to say no to last-minute bookings — and I honestly hate turning people away, especially when they’ve been quietly thinking about it for ages.
By booking in advance, you’re guaranteed a spot in my diary, even if baby arrives a little earlier or later than expected (as they so often do!).
I aim to photograph newborns between 10 and 21 days old, when they’re still curled up and sleepy, and happy to be gently posed. That said, I’ve had lovely sessions with babies up to 8 weeks old — so if your little one has already arrived and you’re wondering if it’s too late, just pop me a message.
Once you're in my diary, I’ll send over everything you need to know — from what to bring, to how the session works, and what colours or props you might like. The whole experience is calm and relaxed, and I’ve got everything here in the studio to make it as easy as possible for you.
You can just sit back with a cuppa and watch your gorgeous new baby being photographed — safely, gently, and beautifully.Ready to Chat?
If you’re expecting and thinking about a newborn shoot in Glasgow, Blantyre, or Lanarkshire, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re ready to book or just want to find out a bit more about how it all works, send me a wee message and I’ll be happy to help
