When you’re coming in for your newborn photo shoot, you don’t need to bring much – I’ve got most things covered here at the studio!
But there are a few little extras that can make your morning even easier.
Here are 5 practical things I recommend bringing with you:
Whether you're breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, it's a good idea to bring an extra feed or two.
Newborn sessions can take a little while, and babies often get hungrier than usual.
A full tummy helps them stay settled and sleepy for those lovely, snuggly photos.
Even if baby is freshly changed before you leave the house, accidents happen.
Bringing a few extra nappies and wipes just makes everything easier.
We have changing facilities at the studio, so you’ll be all set.
If your baby takes a dummy, definitely pop it in your bag.
Even if they don’t normally have one, sometimes a quick comfort suck can really help settle them during posing.
It’s not essential, but it can be a handy little tool if needed.
You might not need it, but just in case of little spills or accidents, it’s worth bringing a spare top for yourself.
Babies have a habit of choosing the perfect (and funniest) moments to need a cuddle after a nappy-free pose!
If you have something special you’d like to include – like a knitted blanket, a family heirloom, or a sentimental toy – bring it along.
I love finding ways to personalise your shoot with little touches that mean something to you.
Most of all, just bring yourselves!
You don’t need to stress about packing loads. My studio here in Blantyre is cosy and fully equipped for your session.
I have plenty of wraps, outfits, hats, and props ready for your little one.
My goal is always to keep everything relaxed and easy for you.
If you’re looking for newborn photography in Blantyre, Glasgow or Central Scotland, and want a calm, friendly experience, I’d love to welcome you and your family.
Any questions? Just drop me a message – I’m always happy to help.
