These images are from the wedding of Julie & Michael, a wonderful couple who’s wedding I photographed near the end of last year. Julie & Michael are from the south of England and travelled up to Scotland to have their wedding in Bothwell with photographs later at Bothwell Castle and a reception at the Shawlands Park Hotel in Shawsburn. Julie’s family are from Bothwell where she used to visit her gran frequently, playing in the grounds of Bothwell Castle one day dreaming of her wedding. Unfortunately Julie’s gran passed away before the wedding arrived, but we knew she was looking out for her grandaughter that day, the sun shone as though it was the middle of summer and gave us the chance to fufill Julie’s dream.
I had the great pleasure of photographing Bruce & Mhairi’s wedding at Brisbane House in Largs. This was a first time for me photographing at the venue and in Largs itself. Bruce himself is a photographer, and indeed had many friends at the wedding photographing away. However none of them ventured down the beach with myself and John the videographer to capture some amazing images in the freezing cold! But looking at Bruce and Mhairi you would never guess that we were in the depth of winter!
Jennifer & Lee were married and held their reception in the Strathaven Hotel in Strathaven. It was a beautiful day and both Jennifer & Lee were a pleasure to be around and photograph. The day was filled with lots of laughter and sunshine!
Here are a few of my favs from the day……
Jamie & Joanne were married at Netherlee Synagogue in Clarkston with a beautiful reception held at the Crutherland Hotel in East Kilbride afterwards. This was my first Jewish wedding and both my mum and I had a fantastic time photographing Jamie & Joanne’s special day. It was filled with lots of emotion and laughter and even a birds of pray display!
Here are a few of my favourite images from the day……
Claire & Stuart were married in Cairns Church of Scotland with a reception just a few miles down the road at Strathblane Country House just outside Milngavie. The House was built in 1874 and sits in 10 acres of land, with wild deer roaming around and a falconry next door.
The grounds are lovely for photography and fortunately the weather stayed dry to allow the wedding party to come outside and have a few drinks, which always makes time go quicker when you have guests at hand who are in requested photographs!
Samantha & Andrew were married and held their reception at Cornhill House in Biggar. This venue is so beautiful, the room and the gardens are just stunning. There are so many spots to photograph in but
unfortunately that day the rain decided to come pouring down after the wedding ceremony, which was held in the marquee adjoined to the hotel.
Andrew arrived with a big smile on his face inside a mazerati, his suprise from Samantha, and I managed to get some images outside before the bride arrived and the rain came down. Afterwards we photographed all the family images inside the marquee, and used the inside of the hotel for our couple shots.
Hi Guys, here is a look at our new presentation dvd that will be going out with all our brochures to new clients, if you get a moment please feel free to leave a comment I would love to know what you think about it.
The wedding of Leanne & Scot was held on Saturday at East Kilbride’s Old Parish Church in the village and then onto the Eglinton Arms Hotel in Eaglesham. The Eglinton Arms has undergone a recent refurbishment and is beautifully decorated in a boutique style.
Leanne & Scot were so at ease on their day, the weather held up although it looked like a down pour was coming at one point! And this gave us a chance to stay outside and capture some beautiful images.
My Mum and I wish you every happiness for the future, here are a few favourite images from the day……
We have just finished the wedding of Leigh & Barry. What a lovely couple. Leigh was very relaxed on her day, and so was Barry considering his car didn’t turn up for him!
We had some stunning weather and lovely gardens at the back of the chapel to work with, and here are a few of the images from our day.
Claire & Chris were married on Saturday inside the beautiful building House for an Art Lover designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The house is situated amongst beautiful parklands and is adjacent to a victorian walled garden.
We were fortunate to have the rain keep at bay for most of the day allowing us to use these beautiful gardens, although the house has so many places inside for photography.
We would like to thank you guys for a great day, you were a pleasure to be around and photograph and we wish you the very best for your future together.
